What's it like? I am kind of getting tired of MS political BS.
3 MLMs?
NextDoor is a rainbow. So you better be a color they want ;)
It's one of the friendliest and most respectful cultures I've worked in. That said, there are politics and growing pains, as there are in any company. The dev stack is a mess but getting better and pretty much everyone agrees that making it less of a mess is a good idea. The are a lot of people invested in various aspects of making Nextdoor a great place to work, culturally and from an ops and process perspective. That said, there have been huge management shakeups as Nextdoor tries to figure out how to become profitable and a lot of pretty predictable growing pains around that. But probably not the kind of politics you'd find at a large enterprise
Thanks. What about PIP and toxic management. These things are pretty widespread at Amazon and even MS to some extent. I've seen some pals go through it.
Most of the eng managers have reasonable expectations and the perf review process has been quite fair and transparent in my experience.
Its required for you to join at least 3 MLMs.
