I have Nike contractual Tech lead vs AWS CSE1 Fulltime role offer , which one is better role for future ? keeping in mind i am on h1-b visa with contractual ( nike) vs full time ( Amazon ) ? any thoughts ? YoE- 10 yrs TC with aws - 113k TC with nike - 135 k
Interview was fairly easy since it is a contractual role only talking no coding at all .. yeah amazon is in downtown portland new aws office so i m assuming growth wise it mite be a gud option as an fte vs contractual with nike where i dnt knw if they are going to convert me into fte down the line
Contractual? I thought they massively redid their in-house data engineering/reporting and we’re hiring strictly ‘organic’ Anyway, I’d go with Amazon for the stability. I don’t think you’re going to get as much data engineering experience as you would like as a CSE though
Definitely take the full time job. Contractors are treated like second class citizens
Go with Amazon because of h1b.
What's wrong with Nike H1?
Go with full time if you are on h1b. Contracts the h1 extensions are not guaranteed.
I had Nike recruiter speak to me, how was their interview? Also I would go with Amazon. Don't let Nike string you along and get screwed.
