I'm a recent graduate from a lower tier university in Canada. I joined a no name startup ~7 months ago and the work culture has been abhorrent. There are constant on calls that go through the night and the weekend and awful micro-managing. I have been applying to hundreds of companies in Toronto and have been getting rejected left and right. The only interview I managed to land was at AWS but my recruiter has ghosted me for a month after I passed the OA (I sent follow ups every week!). Am I over-reacting? Could there be something wrong with my resume or is 7 months of experience too little? #toronto #resume #nointerviews
It's okay. Get your resume reviewed, start applying on LinkedIn, leetcode hard. Tons of companies hiring across Canada, none cares that you're leaving in 7 months. Just say you're not learning much etc. Dm me if you want to discuss which companies
Hi @microsoft, can I DM you for the company names?
Did you pass OA successfully for AWS? Or you just completed the OA?
I passed the OA and the recruiter said he would schedule me for a phone interview through the "Hire System". But I never received any email even after following up multiple times.
PM me directly, I can get that resolved… if not AWS at least for other teams.

It's hard to get interviews in Canada. Try to apply for jobs in the US if you are ok with relocating. Also work on your linkedIn profile, get LinkedIn premium and open your profile to new opportunities. That can help recruiters find you
