Noticed that I cannot connect to any dating websites from my work laptop, including Match.com, eharmony, Tinder, okcupid etc. culprit seems to be Cisco umbrella and doesn’t seem to be any way to configure it or disable it. We are allowed limited personal use of our work laptops if it doesn’t impact the business and it’s not inappropriate. Who among us hasn’t watched a YouTube video on our off hours, for example. Seems strange and somehow invasive that company would block me from visiting all major dating sites using my own home network, router, modem and ISP, all of which I pay for. Big brother is watching? Thoughts ?
Dude, why on earth would you use your work laptop for this? Get an iPad or something 🤦🏻♂️
Hard to type on an iPad. So everyone has a secondary personal laptop for all personal use ? I doubt it. Let’s talk about the real world.
I used iPad for anything outside of work. If it’s hard to type you can get a keypad. But don’t use work laptop, it might bite you one day and you’ll regret it.
Smartphone goes brrr...
Have you tried FB dating?
Lol, sounds like IBM
At one of my previous companies, you weren’t allowed to change your desktop wallpaper because it could be distracting
Same!! But I am allowed to change the lockscreen wallpaper, dumb!

Holy hell dude why are you using your work laptop for this...don’t you have a smartphone in your hands right now...
I've been using work laptop for everything except installing crap. I've done all my interviews from there and will accept my next offer from there.
You could get fired for that if they catch you.
Who is still using laptops for these things ? Is this 1990? Every damn thing is super easy on your phone and phones these days are the size of tablets.
Get your own laptop
