No interview offered for PM role at Meta NYC
Applied with a referral to Meta for a PM role in NYC. Recruiter replied back with generic “not moving forward” etc. Curious if there is a way to still get an interview? Should I ping recruiters on LinkedIn or reapply within a month? Strongly think my experience is relevant for Meta (IG roles) after working in YouTube. Blind tax TC: 350k YOE: ~4

I worked on video at FB and IG for many years and have not been able to get a YT interview, with referrals, so 🤷♀️
Meta has calmed down hiring
If they say "not moving forward", just accept it... It's just a job, nothing special, not worth it to chase after...

L5. Why is the PM scene a mess rn?
They are being super picky. For eg if the JD says 8+ yoe, they won't entertain you with 7 yoe because they have a lot of leverage. At meta 10-12 h/day is the norm + working on weekends.
Accept that you're not so cool as you think. Move on.
