I graduated from tier 1 MBA school and got internship with CISCO last year. They confirmed over mail that they would extending a full time offer and even provided the job details etc. within the same team I interned for PM role. As per usual trend by dec/Jan they usually give offer letter. So far no intimation from CISCO on wether or not they will give offer. Recruiter initially said they going through some restructuring, then said budgeting getting approved etc, last week heard from him/her that there might be some not so good news and no response since then. I choose CISCO over other offers due to its reputation and feedback from Blind. Anyone has some internal info towards if they would honor their words and will eventually give offer letters or not? PM role Location : San Jose TC 150k #cisco #internship #offers EDIT - I am working on other offers and I have 2 of them on the finish line. I didn’t post this as I might not have a job, posting this to know if anyone has some internal info on CISCO.
If recruiter and hiring manager wants you, then they will find a way to onboard you. Based on what you have shared above, it does not look like they are showing the intent. So if you want just reach out to them and get full clarity around it.
Seems a little different situation here as none of the my mates who did intern in summer with me got a full time offer yet and all are being put in limbo for now.
Cisco HR is slow as fuck. I know for things like interns they won't even start the formal offer until a week or two before they start, even if you gave them the informal offer 6 months before
New grad? 150k TC?
Get first offer from whoever and start that job. Till the time there isn’t an open req, no one will try to close it asap
Out of curiosity, what’s considered tier 1 business school these days? Top 3, Top 7 or something else?
Cisco is a cluster right now like rest of tech, say yes to every offer you can get and hope at least one doesn’t get rescinded before start.
Work on other offers and contact the hiring manager for the status
Get alternative offers in between. In this market people and businesses are not reliable enough.
Yeah I’m already working on it. In interview process and market is a little shaky atm but am sure I’ll crack something. Was just curious if should I totally write off my chances in CISCO now?
