No sign on bonus offered
Recruiter informed me there is sign on bonus with offer then issued an offer letter with no bonus , claims to manager they never agreed to one. Have a call with them to go over offer and understand what changed How to handle that situation? Appreciate it
If you are sure the recruiter told u there would be a singon bonus? Did they give a number? Generally I haven’t seen any one give an offer letter without reaching a verbal agreement on numbers. Also YoE?
Also, one thing to do in the future is to sent recruiter an email about the offer detail right before you hang up the phone. You will have a documented trace of such promise, and it can also be shown as an evident to other company for competitive offer.
I actually did that and the recruiter replied that they are "confirming my offer" it was then taken out of context as in they meant to ask someone about it.. but never came back to me.. so they are using double meaning to get out it
Wow I know our recruiter are bad but this is just more than bad
Talk to your manager. Usually they have influence over your offer
Is this a deal breaker? It’s up to you to accept or reject the offer.
Not much a deal breaker as much as I am confused why they would claim they didn't mention one.. as I turned down a better offer now that sign on is excluded
Why would you turn down the competing offer before you've finished locking down the one you are going with?
