Non AWS Amazon Org vs Stack Overflow
Basically what the title says, I’ve heard horror stories about AWS, but I have an offer from the Customer Service Technology org at Amazon. Are all amazon orgs in the same boat with PIPs and URAs? Also, it’s an SDE II position at Amazon if that matters. I’ve friends at SO who say that it’s a very dev friendly company and had great WLB. Don’t have too many data points on Amazon CST. current TC: 133k SO TC: 184k Amazon TC: 280k YOE: 3y

Every Amazon org with 50+ people must fulfill its own URA quota mandated from the top - typically ~6% annually. There are no immune orgs that I'm aware of. Stack Overflow is kinda cool in its own way. That's a lot of TC to pass up though!
