Non-technical role at Palantir NYC

Got an offer to leave Tesla (west coast as an engineer) to work at Palantir NYC with their business/operations side. Current TC: 85k + 15k RSU Offer: 106k + 20k stock options (illiquid, useless unless they IPO) and 20% raise after 18months YOE (as engineer): 2 YOE (in business roles): 0 Thoughts? I would love to move to NYC and I'm 23 so I think it's a great time to try other types of paths out and live in NYC in my 20s. I also don't own a car (yet) and have no student debt, loans, and am single so moving is easy.

Try it out! Palintir is a good enough company that you will have fine exit options if you want. Don't be boring. Live life!

Ask for 160K base. 40K RSU. Did you get a signing bonus? If not, ask for 30K. If they say you are nuts, tell them you plan you keep your head above the water. If they know your current pay, tell them you are leaving because you are underpaid.

At 1 YOE 160k base 40k RSU and 30k Signon is ridiculous 😂

No wonder you are underpaid. We like people like you to work for us.
