I got the offer from Nordstrom - Sr. Tech Program Manager. Could you please let me know the work culture of Tech groups.
There's a term for the friendly Nordstrom culture: "Nordstrom Nice" (not making it up). Same as the previous poster, my experience with Nordstrom was great as well.
That is not what Nordstrom Nice refers to, that’s the old culture of people saying yes to your face but no behind your back. That style isn’t welcome now days and gets shut down.
It's the opposite of Amazon. Agree with above assessment!
Culture is nice. What org are you specifically asking for?
How about hiring and firing culture?
Not heard about it
No hire and fire culture. You’re put on PIP only if you genuinely don’t perform. No PIP targets to reach.
The Nordstrom Nice thing is real. Lots of work to do, great place for growth. What’s the offer?
@unknownJk - what org, If I can ask? Tech “culture” can vary from org to org.
I interned there on a platform team or something so I can only speak to a limited capacity, but it was possibly the friendliest place I've worked. People would actually grab lunch together and hang out after work getting beers. I'm sure it varies by org though.
