I drove to north bend,wa thinking that it’s a remote place but I see a lot of new home constructions and development. The drive was also a breeze compared to the drive to north bothell from Bellevue. Looks like a good bet for a home. School district also seems good with one (probably only) of the 10 rated high schools in the Seattle area . Pros: 1) Commute, very close to both I90 and 202 . This is an affordable place with great commute times to bellevue and Redmond where a lot of new amazon and Facebook office buildings are coming up. You can take 202 to Redmond and I 90 to bellevue. 2) Good school district 3) Very new communities . Scenic views . 4) Recreation: new soccer turf fields and community parks under construction. 5) New cricket field under construction with artificial turf pitches! 6) Indoor basketball courts 7) indoor cricket training facilities. 8) Has the same number of sunny days as seattle 9) Educated population is moving in to the communities 10) Lot of commercial development projects are also in the pipeline Cons: 1) Rains more than in Seattle 2) For Indians who are looking for an area with more number of Indians.. this place is a little diverse 3) Seems a little far even though the commute time is the same from interiors of sammamish to Bellevue and Seattle. 4) Elementary school has to step up a bit. 5) No big grocery store like costco in the city. Need to go to Issaquah for Costco which is like 15-20 mins away #mortgage #housing #seattle #bayarea #microsoft #facebook #netflix #amazon #google #boeing #tmobile #salesforce #expedia #tmobile
I love the NB area, wish I lived out there
I am sorry to hear that. North Bend used to be a nice small town with the outlet mall in the outskirts off I90.
Agreed it's also scenically beautiful. Are prices in north bend cheaper than Bothell?
Yes they are
You'll definitely be able to get a nice new house with a yard and mountain views for relatively cheaper in NB I moved to snoqualmie ridge a year ago and tbh regret it for the longer drive to Issaquah / Bellevue. Also stop shopping at Costco it sucks
Let’s talk in a couple of years. You will be happy driving from snoqualmie. I moved to Seattle 5 years ago and folks who bought homes in Issaquah and sammamish complained about the distance to bellevue
I lived in a Issaquah for five years before this and liked it much more, everything felt really accessible. This is also just my own personal taste but I don't really like the leafy-suburb lifestyle. Sammamish seems the same way. I liked the urban-suburban feel of Issaquah Also to one of your cons above I notice there are a lot of Indian families in snoqualmie - north bend now and it's pretty diverse.
Why play cricket when you can drive 20 minutes and rip some lines at Alpental?
I moved out here about a year ago. Couldn't be happier. Got a nice new house with a great view. Perfect neighborhood for the kids. I don't have to commute into the office frequently so the drive isn't a concern. I'm not Indian but there are several on my street. Wish a solid indian restaurant opened up in North Bend.
What are some of the good communities in North Bend area? Preferably Indian community
When you say NB is affordable what do you mean? What are prices going for New Dev?
Ok
