Going to apply for IT audit role at Northern Trust. Anyone here have any insight on the audit / IT audit team and leadership? How is it to work for and with them? Is the annual IT audit plan aggressive or they have sufficient resources to manage the plan by working mainly normal hours? Thanks #finance #ITAudit

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
On the receiving end of it here, different business units have their applications separated into individual TLAs. Each TLA undergoes an audit at regular intervals (I think every 2 or 3 years but don’t quote me) and the work consisted of members of the it audit team coming to our team and having us provide evidence of compliance with NT standards across our tech stack and product/operational practices. NT is really good at respecting work life balance but ultimately you will need to set healthy boundaries and stick to them yourself. No one’s going to fire you for working 8 hour days. Don’t know much about the leadership on that team but it’s an audit role.. don’t expect the teams receiving one to be thrilled about your presence in their life! People will be respectful, but you will also have to be firm and persistent in your requests to meet your timelines. Tons of Federal audit requirements have hit us in the past year and many teams are slammed with unplanned work related to helping move those initiatives right now. You will have your hands full but it seems reasonable from my perspective and you’ll definitely be able to make an impact in the role if you’re good at navigating the politics/personalities that are a byproduct of internal business unit audits
Ok thank you for this insight.
