Not a great work environment at Qualcomm
I am a contract employee at Qualcomm. Due to recent incidents in the industry with NXP and what not there is a lot of instability and insecurity going around in the team. Just recently a bunch of people got fired from the team, and now everyone is trying to save their own ass at the expense of others, micro-management, blame game,etc. Not a great environment to work in, how do you guys deal with this? (Job Hunt is on-going, but don't have anything in hand yet)
I personally dealt with it by leaving. It sounds like you are on the right track getting out as well. Good news is that while Q is firing all US based engineers, the rest of the industry is truly growing so job prospects are quite good.

Three people have committed suicide on company premises since I’ve been there if that gives you any idea of the environment.
