Not getting response from fragomen for 4+ months
I work at Amazon and had initiated my GC application process more than a year ago. I have stopped hearing from my attorneys for more than 4 months now. I've tried messaging on their portal, sending emails to attorneys listed on my case, and done multiple follow ups. Anyone know of an escalation process? Can my HRBP help? My manager has no idea what to do. I'm worried that my application is being delayed for no reason at all.
what stage are you at? are you at some risk if delayed? Fragomen takes days even for most urgent cases
Not at risk bit I've gone months without any response from their side. They have all my documentation but haven't done anything with it yet
I work @Apple but I had a similar experience with Fragomen. Did they tell you if they filed LCA? If they got it approved and totally forgot about the next steps then basically itโs a reset. LCA expires after few months and the process starts all over again. Fragomen went AWOL after getting my LCA approved. A few months later my boss left them a voicemail. then they responded back saying the earlier paralegal left the company and my case wasnโt tracked. Had to start all over again.
isnโt LCA valid for 3 years? did they mess something up since i think it would also impact your priority date
Prevailing wages determination in LCA is valid only for few months My conversation with Fragomen: โ2. I believe we already had Prevailing Wage from DOL before the new laws came into in October, correct? Can we reuse that if the old laws are applicable. I am just trying to understand the process and reasoning.โ Reply from Fragomen: โYour case did have a previous Prevailing Wage Determination received in May 2020. Unfortunately we are not able to further utilize this Prevailing Wage Determination as the validity period expired in August 2020โ They had to do pwd again and then start the recruiting. I didnโt have a priority date at this stage, this is my first time applying perm. So it didnโt matter.
there should be a link to create a trouble ticket - internal search should take you to that page which has the link and it also has fragomen alias to email this comes under Amazon GIT team - so i donโt think your manager or HRBP can do anything and they might be as clueless as you
At Amazon Fragomen is really slow, you will miss the bus then they will raise there head up.
If I don't hear back from the lawyers once, I add back in the HRBP.
They arenโt supposed to talk to you during certain stages. You can ask HRBP for an update.
