Anyone knows when should Red Hat Stock Share be granted, is it on the offer letter and once you join you will get it? Or after sometimes being at the company you will get it, without mentioning it on the offer letter. Also what is the expected number of Shares should new employees expect?

Ok there are a couple of things here to address 1. When should they be granted- this is a huge it depends 2. Is it on the offer letter - yes - this would have been negotiated when you were applying to RH. X- thousands which is done in 1/3s. This starts 1 year after the join month does make things interesting but April and October are the 2 months for stocks vesting- I'm not 100% sure but this might be pretty common amoung tech companies 3. Is it after sometime being at the company - it depends some peope do some dont - depends if you want to stay at your current position or move to a more senior role that have stock or go to sales or other roles that give stock for incentives 4. What are the expectations of stock for new employees - this again is it depends - some get none, some get 15k, some get 150k (and higher) but these are all things that is not a formula and is dependent on role, yoe, salary expectations, and a couple other things...

Its VERY negotiable VERY I dont know if its a recruiter or HR but the person MAY not bring it up. Make sure you get your base and bonus taken care of then stock. Been a while since I've done it and it was pre IBM... Feel free to ask here or DM me with more questions if you have them
Yeah i got no stock and figured they didn't do that once they got so "corporate" Randomly at about a year, they gave me 10k over like 3 years? 🤣oh thanks! I never mentioned it, however, I did get a offer, then they downgraded the posting. Now I got the promotion equal level but still 15% less than what they verbal offered at the same level

The shares/amount need to be in your offer letter and should be granted about a month into starting your role. As for the amount to expect, like any company it will depend on your level. Most get 0.
Yes, Some companies have internal policy after one year from joining you will get your shares and it will not mentioned in the offer
