Nuro interviewer rejected me because I’m Muslim
I shared with the Nuro interviewer that I’m observing Ramadan before starting the interview to let her know that I might slow in writing code. With big surprise I got a noreply rejection email, knowing I did well during the interview, and answered correctly all her questions. I found out the interviewer has less than one year of experience in the domain. I don’t know why Nuro put someone like her in the hiring process for a senior engineer position?! Interview duration was 45min Interview timeline: - 10min introduction. - 25min code challenge, I delivered an optimal solution in less than 15min. - The last few minutes, I asked questions about the company policy and the team size (the team has only 2 engineers) #Ramadan #Muslim
Reminds me of the time I got rejected for being too handsome. The interviewer didn't say so, but it was clear since I know I did well.

Muslim here. Unfortunately, you can’t prove your religion was the reason for the rejection, so the easiest option is to just post a bad review and move on.
I think more likely, they’re just not good enough and they got rejected. Or the position got filled.

Thats a leap to make. Lots of people feel blindsided by rejection. They may have gone with another candidate/you could have not done as well as you think or maybe the interviewer did not feel you communicated the answers properly etc. etc. etc. Unfortunately it is almost impossible for anyone to judge this. Sorry for the rejection. As someone who got blindsided nice and early today morning. I feel how painful it is.
Got rejected by Meta. See my alias. It was painful. My coding rounds were decent - def not bad. Design/Behavioral rounds were really good. Sys design interviewer said solid design twice in the interview. Point is - its hard to know why.
