Being told Nutanix doesn't hire directly into levels, but brings everyone in as MTS and corrects placement after a probationary period. Never seen this done before and is making it hard talking about comp, which is why I'm here. Offer: Base: 165k RSUs: 3,000/4 (~$69k) YOE: 10
Hey do you wanna know how to make more money for you
Yes. Please tell me, Mr. Zuckerberg.
How to make more money was already published. Sell data. Say sorry. Keep money. Repeat.
No sign on? What’s the position? Software developer in Java?
No sign on. Without being too specific, it's a SWE position.
How many rounds of interviews? Can you throw some light? Leetcode?
Don’t be rude, before you ask for answers you have to provide some first. What’s your current TC and YOE? Also what company are you at?
YOE is in the OP. Current TC Base: $160 Options: 45k I'm at a small company with just a handful of people. Recruiter never asked for my TC though. So they don't have this information.
Just explain you're happy where you're at and need X% bump to make leap. See where it goes.
This feels like you are being Low-balled :/
Low ball offer. Negotiate higher or better yet go somewhere better.
Your YOE indicates you’re being targeted for a Senior MTS role. This is a terrible offer. Skip and avoid Nutanix. Lot of attrition happening.
This insight is particularly valuable. Any reason other than stock price and market trends for the attrition?
Stocks are a big factor. Management overall has become quite shitty - they want only yes men in their team. Lots of people (including me) planning their exits from engineering. Nothing being done to encourage people to stay. I would not recommend anyone joining at this time.
whoever came up with the "corrects placement after a probationary period" was a fantastic idiot.
Is that 69K worth of stocks per year?
No. Total.
What a joke
Looks like MTS4. Which team ?
Why so low? Is it their standard?
No idea. This is why I'm asking. Should I even try to negotiate or just walk.
Have competing offers? Are you desperate?
