Hi Team! Need some advice on an unusual but really interesting role at Nvidia and considering making a move but haven't heard anything before interviews about comp from the recruiter. I need to omit the exact title unfortunately. It's a blend of engineering and product management in Omniverse and is related to Deep Learning. I think it would be a great fit but keen on making sure I make a jump in level and comp since I didnt get the expected promo. I'd be happier doing less engineering grind but unsure if it would lower comp? ICT4 Engineer: 5 years, 15 overall not all in big tech TC(current): 230k + 30Kbonus + RSU (220k)= 510k, RSU due to stock appreciation (but only $400k unvested since I got the cliff and no promotion) so more like $120k moving on. TC(future): $380k Advice request: Level equivalent current and up, plus min and max comp I should ask for as well as signon. Given the rapid rise of stock, concerned will not continue on that track and should request bigger grant. Thanks! Need you guys. #Nvidia
You would fall in the IC5 band likely. Check out IC5 comp on levels.fyi. expect around 250k base
You may get the promo next year if you continue where you are at. Most firms want you to prove your loyalty before promo. Do you like your role better than other one? Life is more than money. You are correct that the stock of nvidia may be high already so equity might not be with bear as much as a year or more ago.
How did you get a job at Apple and what role u work in ?
Always one comment asking about history 😂
