Starting at Nvidia soon, some questions which I would appreciate being answered: 1) How's the general WLB for DV? Won't say which team I'm on since it's relatively small, but it's on-die GPU. Are there usually offices, cubicles, or tables - and how is their hybrid policy? 2) How is the new grad culture in terms of events and other meetups? I have about 1 YOE and was wondering whether there was a specific list for new grads like Qualcomm does. 3) What's this about the $60/mo reimbursed phone plan thing - is it real and if so, do I have to contract with AT&T and submit the receipts (since I can just lease a phone from them vs. buying unlocked)? What other benefits do they have? Thanks! TC: 145k -> 185k
Following this, also joining Nvidia as a new grad for DV, and I have the same questions.
WLB depends heavily on team. I have no idea what it’s like for DV office is full of cubicles and conference rooms. Hybrid policy depends on the team, most are fairly flexible New grad culture is decent. Lots of events hosted for them, there are slack groups and mailing lists dedicated to them. Keep in mind that there aren’t that many new grads joining, especially at this time of year, so the groups aren’t going to be as big compared to those at somewhere like Amazon
Thanks!
Depends on team .. DV teams are usually busy because of the nature of the work.. lot of things to sign off .. regression , coverage , reviews … you will take couple of projects to ramp up .. people are usually friendly and will help you.. good luck !
There are cubes and tables, booths, conference rooms. Work with your team to balance your hybrid work plan so you can be effective.
Following, joining DV in the Westford office

Is 185k the actual TC or just the base? It seems a bit on the lower side doesn’t it?
Actual TC, looks about average according to Levels - this is an entry level DV position. They didn't mention any bonus so this is just base + stock, I didn't include the performance refreshers.
185 sounds about right for someone new joining between IC1 and IC2. No bonuses were mentioned because Nvidia doesn’t offer them apart from sign on. Only stock refreshers and base increases once per year based on performance.
