Nvidia gains
I had cash to invest(70k) but instead chose to DCA into s&p rather than taking dip in Nvidia in 2021. I feel like I missed this gold rush by not taking risk. Tell me how much money you invested and what it’s worth today.

Never blame yourself for not being compensated because you didn’t take on risk. Hindsight is 20/20 and thinking this way will encourage you to take risks which will not pay off. There will always be some investment that paid off better than what you did. I bet on any given day, there is some stock that has out of the money 0 days to maturity options that 10x in a single day. 99% of people who try to hunt for these lose their money though, so it is not a good risk/return tradeoff.
Put 17k in 2021 at 220. Sold 17k to cover buying costs at $690. Whatever is left is now profit. Just got lucky even though it's not a huge amount
Listen to generic investment advice, you'll get generic result. Since wealth is a relative power (if everyone is a billionaire, then no one is) you're basically trading away stability for gain
Exactly Most here are dca and hysa folks Not saying its bad but not majority of your investment should be like that

I used to have 44 in trad Ira. Sold 15 before earnings to reduce exposure. All had cost basis of 450. The remaining 29 has 75% returns as of yesterday closing. A small regret for reduing exposure but hindsight is 20:20.

If only we knew the future we will all be rich. Don’t worry you made a decision that went one way. It could have gone the other way too. So move on and look for new opportunities. Nvda is a sailed boat (unless there is a massive correction). But i may be wrong too.
