Has Nvidia ever had layoffs? I love that company and CEO
Why are you worrying Amazon? even if it's not for a miracle why so pessimism?
Layoffs?
NVIDIA never has layoffs. This isn’t our first rodeo unlike many in tech.
Great job drinking that kool-aid
Not true. We had one layoff in 2007. Amounted to about 5% of the workforce. Everyone else took a 10% paycut that lasted 6-9 months
No.
For reference Meta revenue : 104 billion Meta employees# : 85k Revenue/employee ~ 1.22 million Nvidia revenue: 30 billion Nvidia employees#: 22.5k Revenue/employee ~ 1.33 million Idk about layoffs but we are producing strong numbers for the employee strength we have and at this point severely understaffed in a lot of departments
All these numbers evaporate faster than you can type NVDA during downturn
No they don’t applied material. Some companies do know how to navigate downturns and have ceos with a soul. Not suggesting that layoffs are off the table but worst case we would start by trimming fat first. Last time the entire company took a pay cut to avoid layoffs but we weren’t 25k strong then.
Jensen would implement every method of cost cutting before considering Layoffs
🙌
No RSU refresh would save a lot of money/jobs
Focus on your own pip op
Jensen has publically said no layoffs on sevaral occasions. So all those who couldn't hop on to the Chu Chu train, worry about yourselves -- the Intels and the pip factories of the world.
Without fail every downturn. And many rounds per downturn
