I got a offer from Nvidia and will probably join around February and had some questions around performance cycles and refreshers. Any current nvidia folks can chime in? (1)When does the performance cycle start at Nvidia ? Is it once yearly or quarterly ? (2)Depending on when,is there any restriction that you need to be employed for X period before you can qualify for a performance cycle? (3)Is refreshers at IC4 usually around 25% of initial grant for all orgs? (4)Do RSUs vest quarterly after you join or is there a initial 1 year cliff ? old tc:190k new tc:318k #nvidia #refreshers #rsu
You need to start in Jan to be eligible for focal and it’s awarded in June.
thank you seems like its important i start before jan end then.And i guess nvidia doesnt have specific restrictions like you need to be employed for X period of time to qualify for a focal, just that you need to be an employee before Jan end. If i miss that then i guess it would be 1.6 years before i qualify for the next one.
No, it is probated. You won’t get much if you only worked small amount of time.

1. Perf cycle for new joiners is first week of Feb from last time I check. once an year is the cycle 2. Suggest joining last week of Jan if possible 3. Depends on org and role. 25% seems about right for swe 4. One year cliff then Quarterly
