Sorry for the rant. I applied for Bungalow.com for a senior position and had gone through the interview. - Recruiter call - Hiring manager call( he sounded blah or probably cold about anything I'd say) - take home coding assessment, it was about 3-4 hours task, which I finished (this take home challenge had many open question ) - all of a sudden I get an email that I have been rejected(system generated email) - then I get an email from HR they want to do a technical round (as expected before getting system generated email) - 30 min technical round(follow up in my takw home assessment ) in which the person just posted question without much clarity, when I had a follow up question he seemed irritated. After I finished my 30 min he went on to say you couldn't handle a case, I kept asking if you have anything in mind please mention, I don't think it would be hard to solve. Keep in mind my code worked fine but he kept round and round and couldn't frame his question properly and was just looking for a solution in his head. Guy went on ahead to give me feedback that you shouldve asked question on take home assessment. Dude, if I have to ask questions then you aren't doing a good job of posting questions. I felt disrespected, I have been on the other side of the table for 100s of candidates and clearly these guys were not professional and were whatever in attitude. Their take home assessment anyone with basic knowledge can solve this. https://github.com/livebungalow/takehome-data-eng YOE- 9 TC - 185k #interview #bungalow #canada #vancouver #tech #jobs
Bungalow.com that name itself is shady ..
It's a very shady company. You're better off not working here.
Yep. Stay away.
Maybe they already had an internal candidate in mind? Despite, I've seen a bunch of unprofessional duds screw up interview this way. But anyway you dodged a bullet.
That's possible, it gives indication about the companies ethics
