O1/EB1 Visa Judgment Criteria

TLDR: If you require JUDGEMENT or ASSOCIATION for US visas, DM me. I've established a non-profit association that organizes socially impactful hackathons. The association serves both visa purposes and beyond. It's entirely legitimate and registered in the UK. We've already hosted two hackathons under its banner. While the association is still in its early stages, you can use it to assess its overall merits for your visa petition. However, as we progress over the next 1-2 years with more hackathons and media mentions, we aim to solidify our standing with associations. How does judgment work? Judges raise the budget for our upcoming hackathons, including prizes, media, and design. These fundraisers contribute to the hackathon's success because they share our organization's values. How does association work? People who contribute hands-on work, like hackathon website development, join the association. The association's criteria might seem intricate, but it primarily serves the visa officer's needs. It's more accurate to say they are highly flexible, and if you're a skilled professional, you shouldn't encounter any hurdles. Benefits of being a judge: 1. Visa-oriented hackathon: Our hackathons are tailored to visa requirements, ensuring alignment in positioning, descriptions, the inclusion of reputable judges, media coverage, invitation texts, recommendation letters, and more. We ensure the hackathon is positioned appropriately, catering to high-skilled professionals rather than students, for instance, as the latter might not serve visa purposes. Nonetheless, it remains a legitimate hackathon with genuine participants and winners, and contributing financially or otherwise doesn't exempt one from judging duties. 2. Transparency: We currently utilize crypto for fundraising and await our tax number (expected in 2-5 weeks) to legalize our operations. We operate through a UK bank account and process payments via Stripe. Our partnerships are with B2B contracts, and we adhere to UK tax regulations. As a CIC, any profits are directed back into the community, eliminating any possibility of kickbacks. 3. PR Partnerships: We've secured partnerships with multiple publishing platforms to provide media coverage before and after the hackathons. 4. Socially Impactful Hackathons: Besides technical assessments, officers may appreciate our hackathons' positive societal impact. 5. Theme Flexibility: Fundraisers from various backgrounds influence the hackathon's description and judging criteria, ensuring inclusivity. Participants specify relevant tags, which AI collates to generate and review the event's description. Some benefits: - Proper hackathon description aligned for visa - Pointing to the organizer who organizes only hackathons for high-skilled participants - Internationality of participants - Certificate of judging is provided - Explicitly stated judging criteria that match the judge's profile so that the officer does not ask unnecessary questions - The presence of "star judges", on average higher than ordinary judges and designed to show what cool guys you are "in the same boat" with - A recommendation letter from the founder stating that you contributed to the hackathon. There will be a UK address and phone number - Invite from corporate mail to your mail is custom, i.e., you can send me the text and customize it to fit your petition - Screenshots of the documents/judging protocol cause judgment is real - You can also request an explanatory note - Event's media coverage - Helping with right text for petition

Let me give you some background on how I got into this whole thing. I'm in the process of applying for an EB1a visa. My lawyer mentioned I needed some official recognition, like a judgment. I tried looking for it on places like DevPost, but the results could have been better. Plus, I realized the judge's background needed to match the hackathon I participated in, which meant contacting organizers for letters and other paperwork—not the funniest task. Then, in a few private ru/ua-speaking visa groups on telegram, I floated the idea of hosting our hackathon and being the judges ourselves. Surprisingly, that suggestion sparked some interest, and now we've got a growing group of about a hundred folks ready to dive in. We have primarily two roles now: Fundraisers — These are the folks who donate (< $300, btw budget formation is transparent and I can provide to anyone insterested) to make the hackathon happen Contributors—These are the hands-on folks doing technical things like website/design/SM/partner communication etc, things Contributors can also become association members, killing two birds with one stone—judgment and association membership. That's how it functions so far.
