All i hear is that lending is full of incompetent managers.
Lending is I guess a wide team right. In that there are sub teams as well? Also how easy it is to switch frm India to Singapore?
Don't even dream of switching from India to Singapore, they don't allow geo relocation and will give you some bs reasons. Sadly they can see you leave the company rather than help in your career movement to a different team and different location. So better plan your preferences upfront and directly apply at your desired locations.
The work culture in Lending has become very toxic. This is only because of the managers I believe. The problem here is that EMs in this team just act as an facilitator and all the heavy liftings are done by the engineers. They also don’t even contribute to design. You will not get to solve real engineering problems here. Rather you will be made to write garbage code, release and do bug fixes, data fixes on daily basis. Later, they will praise each other for doing the great work of bug fixes and premature release of product which sadly reflects their incompetency. I also hear that attrition rate in this team is quite high.
