Has anyone worked at Leidos? I’ve read it’s pretty good WLB, but is there any opportunity to learn/grow career? 130k
There are different niches for defense contractors. Leidos specifically skews toward service provider heavily. That means jobs at Leidos are highly likely to sit at a customer site or do sustainment type work, salaries and benefits packages will be slim due to heavy competition from the likes of SAIC and Booz. Your mileage may vary based on the specific role.
WLB is excellent, I don’t think it’s a great for career growth though. Depending on the contract the tech stack can be surprisingly modern, but the pay isn’t usually anything special. How many YOE, and do you have a clearance?
I have about 2 YOE and yes I have a clearance
I actually worked at a different defense contractor for a bit and left due to totally archaic stack, nothing to do, etc. I don’t want to repeat that experience but also down for better WLB. I basically want to have my cake and eat it too, lol
