I'm particularly interested in Big Tech or any place where they pay the big bucks. Magic Leap: Unlimited PTO in paper. In practice it means you can easily go to 1 month of PTO every year, not counting in federal holidays. So I feel it is quite nice on that end. Not sure how common this is in Tech.
Amazon: No time off as such. you will be called by a random manager to work on weekends and long weekends.
0 vacations? Is that legal?
In reality that’s what is happening. However actual policy is different
Tc only 160 but “unlimited” vacation plus holidays prolly only end up taking 15 or so days off. But tons of afternoons off
Not "unlimited" but it pretty much is. 5 weeks pto every year + floaters + holidays + other one offs. More than you can use in practice. I've used 4 weeks pto at most in a given year. No it doesn't carry over.
What are floaters?
Floating holidays
