How is Flatiron Health right now for software engineers? Noticed on Glassdoor people are mentioning potential layoff, no backfill when people left, loads of people are looking to leave. is it accurate? #flatiron #flatironhealth
Business outlook is poor across all units (weak leadership), benefits slashed, new engineer hires are mostly being offshored. Although the company culture is still good and my comp increase was surprisingly respectable.
Thanks for sharing the insights! Where offshore exactly? Is Flatiron profitable btw?
Not profitable, Roche (the company parent) is severely clamping down on costs and Flatiron’s main focus has been cost cutting to reach profitability but that still isn’t projected for a few years I believe

Mostly. A few teams / specializations or critical roles still backfilled externally. Company is looking to reduce employee costs through attrition or layoffs, offshoaring, and hiring in lower costs states.
