Hey Sasan, You have laid off 715 employees, including me. You will also take back all my unvested options which are worth more than $300K. It took lot of my efforts over the years to get that and I just can’t believe you will take it back ;( Given that I have got outstanding annual performance rating consecutively for last three years. I honestly don’t understand why I am chosen to be laid-off because I neither lack future technical skills nor right mindset. Here is my challenge to you, Sasan - I am fucking confident about securing one of the new 700 jobs you are going to open, but do you have the guts to reinstate my canceled RSUs if I prove you wrong and join back Intuit? Cheers! P.S It is nothing but wrongful termination of some of the best talent. Intuit laid-off 715 employees due to COVID, but said it is due to lack of future skills to make sure stock price don’t go down. So we are entitled to get unvested RSUs as well just like other cases of wrongful termination.

No. You are delusional if you think otherwise.
Haha entitled to be paid for work you didn't complete, classic.
That is harsh OP, very sorry to hear that.
Read that as Susan. Is that a common mistake?
This is sad. Op shit happens and sorry this happened to you. May be you will land in Facebook with better stock options. Happy leetcoding!
Sorry to hear that you are laid off. As you are confident you will find a job, don’t stress yourself out. What I don’t understand is your claim on unvested stocks- if they are not vested, how are you claiming them to be yours and that “Susan” took them back? Unvested stocks are a promise with condition of you being employed in the company. If company doesn’t employ you due to whatever reasons, no company would give you all your unvested stocks (some like Airbnb would allow to keep the next unvested one ). I have 1M in unvested stocks. I know if I am laid off or leave company, I wouldn’t be allowed to keep any of it and shouldn’t be as that is for me to earn with my future employment.
Intuit stocks are gold. I wouldn’t have cared if thry were airbnb options.
Not sure if I understand what you are trying to say
Isn't there a 2 or 3 month period before the last date? If you find a job within Intuit within that timeframe you shud be able to retain your rsu right? I'm sorry about your situation. I wish you get back on your feet soon enough.
New positions are not open yet. They may open only after few months.
You are an idiot to believe unvested stocks belong to you.

You are entitled to nothing when your employment is at-will. If you have solid evidence it had nothing to do with your performance, you should consider suing them. If not, just move on. There’s a reason why RSUs vest over time. When you are making no contribution to the company, why would you expect it to continue vesting?
Wait why should you get unvested stocks ?

I feel very bad for you I am sorry but unvested stocks won’t be yours due to at-will employment unfortunately. I lost my bonus like that once because they delayed bonus payment (18k) and I was already at new job by the time they released previous years bonus. For Vesting and bonus you have to be employed on the date of release
Incorrect. You are entitled to nothing and wrongful termination must have a basis which you clearly have not stated. You can be let go for any reason at any time from any employer.
Sorry about what happened to you and the remaining 714 employees 😞
