I read the article. If they want to stop misuse of H1B, then why are they canceling OPT? Good number of talented people come through F1 student visas right.

It's a bill at best and nothing gets passed on Congress. It will be stuck with thousand other such bills . If it's executive action , they have to defend it court after doing the entire rule making which is at minimum 2 years to complete. I would say it as more of a noise and ignore it as nothing is going to happen .

F$&k this shit. The only reason I came to the US to do a PhD here is because of the OPT program. My undergrad institution has a very solid CS PhD program (even better than my current US program) but it is outside of US.
