OS-Level System Design Interview format for C/C++ and Linux Roles at Amazon/AWS

I’m gearing up for a system design interview at AWS, part of an onsite loop for SDE 2 role involving C, C++, and Linux programming. The focus of the interview will be on OS fundamentals such as processes, semaphores, memory management, multi-threading, scheduling, etc. Questions: How does this differ from distributed system design interview formats? Specifically, does the interviewer ask a question and then expect clarification on functional and non-functional requirements before proposing a solution? Does this interview format include coding? Does anyone have experiences or sample questions from similar interviews? Any insights into how these topics are typically questioned would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your responses and any shared experiences! #engineering #software #swe #systemdesign #interviewquestions #interview

If you don’t mind me asking, which type of SWE role uses c++ at Amazon?
