I find myself in an interesting situation. Salesforce is offering a higher total compensation package, but the position title is not particularly appealing. On the other hand, TransUnion's offer is lower due to my lack of prior management experience, but it provides a good opportunity to step into a management career. Which one would you choose?
Agree with Meta. Take the Software engineering manager
Don’t pick Salesforce, especially a dead end position like tech support. Source: 12 years at salesforce, doubled my TC when i finally got off my ass and learned to leetcode.
190k tech support? Wow
Without even negotiating, I wasn't expecting this either.
You’ll have a hard time getting out of support. Stay as SWE.
Thank you all for your votes and advice!
Hi OP, I’m in a very similar situation and am curious what decision you ended up making.
DM me?

Take the manager job. Technical Support Engineer is not even SWE and you will have a hard time to come back.
