Am I racist if I donât want to marry a Southeast Asian? (Korean here)
The program's estimated overall cost is 1.7 trillion dollars đ€ https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2021/02/23/the-us-air-force-just-admitted-the-f-35-stealth-fighter-has-failed/ That's about $5200 per American.
What we actually need is a large, 787 size command and control jet with a large crew that launches and controls a swarm of fast, cheap, stealthy, long range drones. Kind of like a flying aircraft carrier, but sending drones forward to fight the enemy and staying just close enough to control them in realtime despite jamming, but far back enough to be out of range, and protected by them. The idea of putting a human pilot towards the front in an air war is just dumb. A drone will kill him before he gets close to the other guy.
Oh this is like the PS4 game. Forgot it's name though. Problem is how do you build a 787 that can carry more than 2-3 drones. Launching it might be okay if it's at a higher altitude. Also I think the airplane if it is in the air will always be vulnerable and bringing down the 787 will make you lose the whole drone fleet. +1 on defined drones for the future though.
Couldn't you use a mesh-like arrangement, and control the drones remotely from the ground in a safe space? I don't think the drones would need to do any sophisticated dogfighting. There would just need to be a lot of them. They could fly into an enemy aircraft's engines, for example.
Thatâs a misinterpretation. The USAF chief wants a stealth replacement for the Falcon that costs the same rather than $100 million for the F-35 (which is still cheaper than the F-22 has ever been). Saying that the USAF wants something at a different price tag doesnât mean itâs a failure. The media as it is has some folks who love to diss the F-35 ever since the days of the JSF program. The fact that itâs only one of two stealth jets in active service, in large numbers, with different air forces around the world speaks to its credibility a lot more than Russia and China that havenât done squat with the SU-57 (which India pulled out of) or the J-20, except for very small scale inductions.
F35 was supposed to be multirole
Itâs the same as how SWE like to stick âlightweightâ on everything đ and it just keep getting heavier
The only way this isn't a fail is if they were using this program to launder money into the top secret UFO reverse engineering projects.
Of course it failed. I can see it in the pictures lmao.
This is defense spending out of control. Weâd have universal healthcare with that money.
I heard our government run national defense is pretty shitty and has to rely on mercenaries to finish the job. Should of just outsource everything đ€
Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan were all failures.
how does it cost that much if defense has đ© TC LMAO
You do realize that amount was spent over decades & 1000s of people right?
and this is the result after decades with 1000s of people :(
