lolol!! Sucks to be him!! Bam Bam

Google ock<mutex> Dec 25, 2016

"Upon his arrest, Katz told the officer that he was there to rescue the girl, and should have first called police, according to charging documents." Yeah right. lololol

Microsoft Wassup Dec 25, 2016

this is so sad - all the education and exposure amounts to zilch I guess.

Uber Wayless Dec 25, 2016

Foolish running behind <18 year olds

Microsoft gsshkffd Dec 27, 2016

Yeah, initially I felt sorry for him (thinking he was looking for a prostitute and is now famous for it) but after seeing that he thought it was a 15yo girl I don't feel sorry for him at all. He was out to do a terrible thing.

Uber Wayless Dec 29, 2016

And he is saying he is there to protect her - common dialogue - he should have been more intelligent than that.

Google Noogler69 Dec 25, 2016

He was trying to pay for sex with a 19-year-old who changed her story to say she was 15 after an hour of texting. He couldn't think straight at that point since all his blood was in his dick. Poor guy

Microsoft Wassup Dec 25, 2016

Oh yes, the " insufficient blood supply to run both ends" defence. poor guy? more like lucky underage girls who have one predator less to deal with.

Uber Jeijn Dec 25, 2016

Eww I can't believe someone on here is actually defending this creep. You should be ashamed

Uber puffin Dec 25, 2016

This guy sounds creepy, but how can this not be entrapment? It's not like he was actively seeking out underage girls to have sex with. Isn't it a crime that would not happen were it not for the police sting? If anyone understands the legal nuances here I'd love to hear more

Google Noogler69 Dec 25, 2016

That's what I would argue if I were an attorney…I imagine what the prosecutor will argue is, imagine a 15-year-old girl put up the same ad pretending to be 19. This guy would've tried to pay for sex, she would've possibly told him she was 15, and he would've tried to have sex with her anyway. Idk who would win that argument. It's also possible that the fact that soliciting sex for money even from a 19-year-old is illegal affects the outcome. E.g. if I accidentally sell you a bag of heroin thinking it's cocaine, I can still get convicted of selling you heroin since it would've been illegal either way.

Facebook FBAnon4Lyf Dec 26, 2016

It isn't entrapment.

Uber G-Unit69 Dec 25, 2016

Amazon will take him

Amazon EREJ05 OP Dec 25, 2016

Come on man. We're not working on VR.

Microsoft UfQD457532 Dec 25, 2016

Uber never fails to disappoint.

Facebook EhyI10 Dec 25, 2016

It seems pretty terrible to me that cops report this to the media before any due process. This will destroy the remainder of his life. What if it's shown that one of these cases grossly violated the perpetrator's rights, or was even exaggerated or staged? Reporting this to the media delivers the worst punishment immediately.

Microsoft Bendu Dec 25, 2016

And why do the media have to somehow associate Oculus with this.

Uber uberpnw Dec 25, 2016

that's called news. but agreed with @ehyl10 it might be premature revealing a under investigation case to media.

Facebook sBPl4 Dec 25, 2016

His whole life is ruined... what a mistake. He is supposed to be way too smart to fall for something like this...

Microsoft GySR88 Dec 26, 2016

Maybe he is not that smart.

Facebook FBAnon4Lyf Dec 26, 2016

Well in a biological basis this has nothing to do with intelligence. We are programmed to fuck. Smart people are just better at rationalizing it or not getting caught.

Fitbit YdJdke Dec 25, 2016

Wow wow wow this thread sadly makes me glad I never reported any of the gross sexual harassment stuff I've experienced while in tech (not at Fitbit btw, we're awesome, come work with us) Why does every tech bro automatically jump to justifying the male side of things? I'm assuming most of you guys at the senior level are smart enough to realize when you're talking to a fake child. Look at the language the cop used! Sheesh

Microsoft S Nutella Dec 25, 2016

I worked summers in construction once upon a time. Now THAT is non-stop sexual harassment of any female passersby

Facebook FBAnon4Lyf Dec 26, 2016

Ya innocence until proven guilty is misogynistic. Also women should never lecture men about in group preference.
