Offer - SRE
Comcast is current employer. I am on visa and worried about Tiktok getting banned. Also from what I have heard the culture is bad. Not looking for money but for better work-life-balance and stability. #offers
I wouldn’t move to either, but bytedance is within a slightly longer commute. For an extra 50-60k take home. Is the longer commute and hours worth it to you? That’s not even a risk adjusted decision. I know nothing about comcast but WLB is fine, but those F500 will cut you without a second thought too. Visa is not looking good at a grinder that’s doing silent layoffs, and stability is very questionable. For example, China invades Taiwan, and TikTok being banned is an obvious consequence.
How’s the interview? Did they ask hard LC for SRE??

i work with some comcast folks. they're super nice. A lot of them ithink are looking to jump to peacock becaues it's better pay but wlb at peacock is horrible right now
Don’t go for byteDance, wlb is pretty bad there. Also Rowe’s offer isn’t that much of a jump to leave current job unless you are suffering at Comcast.
