Dearest people of blind, I come to you with a request — especially those with firsthand experience with any of these companies — of what role makes the most sense to pursue in the LONG RUN. LinkedIn Principal PM - — TC: $600K — data team Adobe Group PM — TC: $485K — AI/ML FlexPort Group PM - TC: $500K - developer tools and analytics Shopify Group PM - TC: Awaiting offer - TBD I’m leaning toward Adobe because of the people management aspect and the AI/ML slant. However, I heard Adobe doesn’t pay that well. Any thoughts on culture, risk, growth for these roles? #Offers #adobe #linkedin #flexport #shopify
Yeah same first thought, you may not get 600k at Adobe but I'm curious. But if it does Adobe is a great place to build a career
What makes you say that (regarding career?)
You may get in the range of 450-500 at Adobe
Yeah — that was my impression but don’t know yet
Shopify would be almost no ai/ML.
True — but more customer facing. I’m not a fan of building internal tools
Hey OP, can you explain your career path? Looks like you have domain knowledge in data. I’m in a similar boat but I work as a PM on internal data pipelines, warehouse, reporting, etc. I would like to learn how you shaped your experiences to get here!
Sure message me
IMO GPM experience is extremely valuable. U already managing ppl at Meta?
I’ve managed before but not at meta
following
Curious, how many years of PM experience?
10+ years of PM experience
Nice. What’s the breakdown of the Linkedin offer?
Stay away from Flexport 🫠
That $500k is a paper number and product culture is not good
what do you think of hiring dave clark? amazon folks don’t seem to be a fan of the culture he set..
Thing to consider with Adobe is great WLB, and good benefits. Tons of company time off. Might be worth a slightly lower paycheck. LinkedIn might be nice for the at too
LinkedIn has a comparable WLB I think. Main reason for going with Adobe would be working on AI/ML.
