New Grad - Master's Degree Offer 1 - Intel (Austin, TX) - CPU Validation Grade 5 Base 93K APB + QPB ~ 8.6K Sign On 8K RSU 15K/3 Offer 2 - Lattice Semiconductor (San Jose, CA) - Design Validation Base 110K Performance ~8K RSU 24K/4 Thoughts if I should negotiate any of the offers? And which do you think would be a better deal for the same and different location? Thanks! #intel #latticesemiconductor #evaluation #austin #sanjose
Intel Ask higher base ~100k+ /or 20k+ rsu
I know people with a similar profile like mine who have got 30k RSU, but for the Folsom area. Does the location factor in while talking about the RSU component?
I think its org dependent . So go ahead and do let them know. Mentioning about other offer may help.
Ask Intel to match the base of lattice
You think that's possible for a Grade 5 pay? My idea was to try and ask them about 100-105k. I don't want to give them a bad impression. What do you think?
Intel won't match a CA base if you try to use that. They may give you 110 anyway though.
Definitely Intel, and plus it’s in Austin which is wayyyyyy cheaper than San Jose
People who are voting Lattice Semiconductor, what factors are you considering? My reasons for considering Lattice is for the opportunity of growth in terms of learning and possibly promotions. And since it's a much smaller company than Intel, the YoY performance is good and steady. My concern is the Bay Area cost of living expenses.
110 CA is equivalent to 80 austin, for same standard of living. If you are certain about the learning opportunities at lattice and sacrifice standard is living a bit… you go for lattice.
With the different COL Intel supringly looks like a better offer
DM if you have questions OP. Former lattice
Is lattice good place for swe?
