Hello community, I am very grateful to have received 5 offers so far, but I would like your feedback on this 2 offers, what do you think about the companies and the offer?, thanks community some details rippling: * seems like a mature team, very friendly, and tech oriented * stack is out of my comfort zone (Django) but I like python and I did my interviews in python with no problem * position seems very impactful, and lots of visibility * benefits seems lacking gusto: * office is beautiful, only Google tops office in beauty, I would really love to work in that office * stack I am very familiar (rails) is my comfort zone * role seems to be straightforward, mentoring is expected * team is friendly also, not much visibility * gusto has a 150k performance equity grant first year only (this is added on top of equity grant and vest over 4 years also, so it adds 37500 per year) * $500 usd job anniversary bonus edit: 10 YOE #offers
Congrats on the offer. Can you share the interview process at Rippling?
I signed a NDA, but is the standard 2 coding rounds + onsite which is system design and coding, values etc
I hate all this I signed an NDA excuses... Just say you are not comfortable sharing and move on
If those are your choices, go Gusto. Gusto is a lot closer to profitability (I think they are already), makes more money, and is more mature. Rippling is an awful place to work. Every team is overworked and miserable. Joining is my biggest career regret.
thanks for your insights, can you elaborate into this?, also, what nice perks or benefits does rippling offers?, I have not received a detailed benefits information
Just read blind company reviews, sort by helpfulness. Our benefits are shit tier. Keep in mind many people are fired before 1 year cliff here.
YOE please?

If you care about future proofing your career and having resume-worthy work to brag about, it seems that rippling would be better. Gusto seems like the nicer company to work for overall. More chill and more employee friendly. But given the team isn't high visibility, you might sacrifice on my first point. I lean for Gusto. Especially if you're late enough in your career, already have decent work on your resume to brag about, or are confident that you can force yourself into resume worthy work at Gusto.
As a hiring manager Rippling doesn't look good on the resume.
When you say gusto's grant is first year only, can you elaborate on that?
based on performance, they are giving that equity in the first year on top of the equity already stated
Ahh that's great! No additional equity from rippling right? I think I'd go with gusto then
YOE?
10 Btw would you be willing to refer me to crowdstrike?
Wait, did gusto just layoff earlier this year?
how can I now?
Congrats on the offers
Come over to Gusto!
Would you be willing to refer me please? 5 YOE SWE
