Hi Folks, I received offers from Hubspot and UiPath. Which one should I join? Have 8 years of experience. What I am looking for in next company: - work hard, learn and level up - steady company growth - planning to convert to Engineering manager in next 2-3 couple years, which would have better reputation here. Hubspot - Remote and work from country for 90 days. UiPath - Hybrid - 3 days in office Current TC - 0
Hubspot seems like a great place to work + fully remote is a huge plus (in my personal opinion). I do think future trajectory looks good for them, but curious what folks there think
How was the HubSpot interview?
Leetcode medium + system design
What about behavioral round?
Is it for SSE2 at hubspot?
Yes
Renegotiate on RSUs
How did you get interviews for both companies? Can’t seem to get a call back
applied and 8 years of experience, what's your YOE ? Also during Initial recruiter call I asked for TC of 250k to make sure I at-least get interviewed,
Mind if you can help me get connected to the recruiter?
ex-Amazon is the best option
What was the LC question?
Believe me, it's not worth the 10k, go to HubSpot. UiPath and Amazon are not so different when it comes to WLB. At least in my team, 50h+ weeks is the bare minimum. No life after job.
Go to Hubspot. Don’t be swayed by the bonus talk either, the structure of it changed before I left. False “open-door” policy, politics are everywhere (I get it) but trust me, you HAVE to be personally liked for any chance of upward mobility… totally disregarding the disrespect you’ve received/your work ethic/accomplishments/the fact WLB sucked. Talks with your overseas colleagues are depressing too.
Do you want more equity or cash? Also which equity has more upside that's the key here
Cash any day.
But the equity for next 4 yrs is bought at today's price. Cash you have to earn as you go but equity is bought at today's price and you keep any uptick
