Offer Evaluation
Recently got this offer from Iterable(https://iterable.com), series D startup. They are building a Growth Marketing Platform. After Series D they are valued at ~500M Series C & D completed within a year's timeframe(Mar19 & Dec19) Location: SF Base: 180k Stock Options: 6375 stock options (Employee exercise price $6.31. Investor Price $15.94) Role: Senior SWE YoE: 7 No other competing offers at the time. Expecting an offer from Lyft & another startup. I am excited about their tech stack(Scala/Akka streams etc) #leetcode #iterable #offer
Options are low. Lyft can do much better depending on your level though there is risk.
I m worried about lyft too as I m on visa. I m not sure if there is any room for negotiation with iterable, but what is a good number of options to ask for ?

Isn't the value/strike price too low for any sizeable gains? (Assuming by investor price you mean today's value) To put things in perspective, I had a similar offer from a series C startup with strike price at $0.25 and valued @5 per share. The catch is that I only get $100 k worth of shares as of today when the company is valued at a billion. The Max upside for me is 500k over 4 years which is not worth the risk in my opinion but am I wrong looking at the numbers that way because iterable doesn't seem to have the same kind of returns even now.
@OP, did they offer you stock refresh/bonus/hike%/sign on? What’s their breakdown?
Hey Fujitsu, Naah there was no details on refreshers/bonus and hike. HR just said they r putting together a process to give out refreshers and/or bonus from next year onwards.Not sure how true is that. Did u get an offer from iterable ?
No, not from iterable. I got an offer from a different series D startup but holy moly those were the exact words of my recruiter too

Location? If it is SF, base looks great, not sure how the paper money pans out, but TC for Senior SDE in SF should be in the ballpark of ~250 - 350k
