I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
Accepted in a hurry and a little fear to be frank. Is it good idea to negotiate or should I let it go
Either deal with it or renege an offer
Technically nothing's done till you sign the papers, but verbal acceptance counts as end of negotiation. Not joining at this point will be considered a reneg and may burn a bridge. Usually we can afford to burn 1 or 2 of those in a career, it's your call. Either way I'd be surprised if they were open to any further negotiation.
Some offers may be ridiculously low balled or candidate may not have had options and accepted a bad one.
What was the offer and your title and years of experience
Current TC - 140+10% bonus. New TC - 160 + 20% bonus + 20k rsu per year + 20k sign on. YOE 10 years, role SSE
Seems a legit offer for that role and company and a big step up from current TC. Either accept it and deliver or reneg/or see if you can find a better offer. It’s only a low ball if you can *actually* get a better offer at a company/role you are willing to accept
Thank you guys for the feedback
