Hi All, I have offer accepted in new company (AMD)h1b transfer is also done but due to some reasons want to stay back at current company. Can you please let me know implications that I would face with new company in future if I turn down offer now. Thanks in advance .
Don’t stay with current company after you put in notice.
I have not put in notice yet hence asking what happens with new company if I turned down the offer
I’m a bit confused why you haven’t listed TC
I am just asking for procedure on what happens when I turned down the offer with new company after I accepted the offer and h1b is transferred. Don’t want to put TC and discuss about that .
No one will be able to answer that for you since it’s highly dependent on you, the Role, the company, the recruiter, etc but obviously it’s not good to renege on an offer. Do what’s best for you and hope for the best but also be realistic that you likely will burn the bridge.
Yes, companies track this sort of thing. Nobody can say for sure if there will be any future impact, it all depends. They may put you on a black/grey/whatever-list, they may not take your application as seriously next time, or they may not care at all.
😒
+1 to nvidia. They don't consider your application again for any role.
Op, people aren’t lying here. One of the FAANGs did put me on don’t call list, I’m sure as I rejected their offer after accepting. And I’ve been trying to get a call from them since 2 years now and I get nothing. I know from recruiters that this company maintained that tracking in their system and even they could see it. Just take an informed decision whether are you willing to get blacklisted or not? It might not happen at all but no one can say for sure. So be prepared for worst case scenario. Also, if you could list your new company people could share their experiences. If not, take a decision yourself.
Thanks so much . the new company I refer to here is AMD . Kindly all let me know what their process is if we rejected offer after accepting it.
Hopefully it won’t be a problem with AMD. Schedule a call with recruiter/HM and explain them about your situation politely on why you have to let this offer go. I think they should be able to understand and if not I don’t think it will impact your interviewing with other teams within AMD in future. But slight chances are they might not consider you for a year or so, since you reneged. Just be upfront with them, be polite with them and they would hopefully understand. Also I think your h1b will be valid for both companies and you should be able to stay with your current company too even after transfer. Consult with the law firm/legal expert once.
Don’t sweat it .. do what’s best for you. If it was FAANG vs intel .. would have been other story then.
You haven't shared much info on all of this so hard to say whether you should move or not, but in general you can reject the offer , you could be potentially burning bridges for a couple of years but that also probably won't matter . Gl
What’s the new company?
I just wanted to know the procedure on what happens when I turned down the offer with new company after I accepted the offer and h1b is transferred. Don’t want to put company name and discuss about that sorry
Sorry I should have mentioned new company so people can share their experience now it’s mentioned in title now
