Blind, can you please help me decide which offer to take ? #engineering #software #swe #offers #offerevaluation
why is the fidelity offer so complicated but still low TC?
trying to stop people from leaving I guess
Are the days of half a million dollar SWE jobs gone? Party didn’t last too long!
Lol banks never paid that.
Just curious what’s your TC in Capital One?
Since they’re more or less comparable, are there other differentiating factors between them other than the money? If you’re looking for better tech, then what does your gut tell you when you think about your expected role and culture at each one of these? Fidelity sounds more interesting on paper with the yearly bonus, but I have no idea about other things like WLB, team you’ll join, etc. I’d probably listen to that too if I were comparing offers.
Agree, I believe tech wise fidelity is better. WLB balance and culture is good with both the companies. Question of choosing the better base pay or thinking long term
How is C1?
my code is simple than fidelity offer😅😂
Fidelity is a private company. How are they giving stocks? Can someone explain?
It's like a bond issued by the company, but of course at no cost to you. Then it vests after x years, with a valuation calculated quarterly based on a lot of factors. So it's almost like a deferred bonus that's tied closely to future company performances
You have one negotiation with your salary at fidelity and once you hired, your annual is based on market rates
What’s the salary raise every year at level 6? Also, if they say 0-25% bonus, how many actually get max of it?
Where did u end up? Fidelity looks better in every aspect. Stay away from European banks
