After many interviews I have been selected as the candidate to move forward in the hiring process. The hiring manager has expressed interest in me at Intel and would like to move forward. Does anyone know what the HR next steps are, how do I negotiate compensation, sign on bonus, etc. what should I ask for? I have over 7 years of experience in my current company and the position at Intel is similar. What should the total comp be for a program management roles be? What should I discuss as needs? Very new to the process. Blind tax -93k Lockheed martin YOE- 7 years, program management #Management #intel #compensation #bonus
Be like the Raptor - fast, clinical, and costing over $200K/YR
Ask them what their pay structure is like - do they offer a sign on bonus, what their vesting schedule is like and such. Normally, when switching companies you want at least a 20% jump if not more. And use levels.fyi / glassdoor to get some idea of the salary range for your role. Find your minimum lovable wage based on these. You want to give them a starter point that is slightly higher than your minimum requirement. Being at Amazon, I have usually seen focus on TC rather than individual components. Though in your eventual decision, individual components do matter based on their stock volatility and such.
This will really help, I will surely keep this in mind! Thank you so much
For sure! :) Oh and if you have another offer, that can help make your negotiation stronger too!
Can I get a referral for Lockheed? Entry-level, recent grad here, looking for a position in aerospace/defense
They probably know your current TC is shit so they may super low-ball you.
How do i avoid this?
Get an offer from another company and tell them you have a competing offer you are considering
No clue, but you should ask over 200K.
