I have been unfortunate to work with one of the worst recruiters ever. I had interviewed with Snap and was given a very positive feedback they even considered pumping me a level. However after the "good news" the recruiter would not keep up with trying to set up meetings with hiring managers, would not reply to my emails days, wouldn't follow up unless I follow up and it took three weeks to finally meet a manager. Then an offer was issued ... So far so good.. I found couple good teams and they like me.. got the offer signed it.. and followed up with recruiter .. but then I get no response .. and after three more weeks of pinging finally called the manager he is upset he follows up and says that they spoke and should be fine.. next day the recruiter calls and offer is withdrawn saying only my head count was given up.. they can't disclose what happened. And that's that .. six weeks of investing time with them and turning off offers and they walk out.. no reason given.. and their culture is lead with kindness yeah right Stay careful just wanted to share this unfortunate story with Snap
Ohhh snap! Seriously that’s pretty messed up on their part.
They had better candidate Move on
I would be fine with that except wanted to show that it can happen with my story .. not looking for anything more
That's par for the course if they delay getting back to him while they wait on preferred candidate. Not ok to actually extend the offer, have it signed, and then withdraw though.
Is this Seattle, New York or LA?
They closed their first choice candidate...
Would you say that you were ghosted 👻?
Haha yup
This is very unprofessional, I have never seen an offer withdrawn after signed.
We just finished 2020 HC planning. Some teams didn’t get their projected HC. Ours did. Maybe try applying for a different role?
Recruiter after revoking offer told me I could apply again in six month and do onsite.. given how unprofessional they dealt with me whether ghosting or ignoring or being untimely part of me can't help but feel this was unjustifiedly against me
Unless you have other insights to their attitude
If you already signed, sue them for millions
That's right after signing he can sue them
Sue for what? It’s at will employment
Wtf
