I got a couple of PM offers from Google (245k) & Walmart (255k) recently, both are L4. I’d like to share my interview prep experience. For the past two years, I have been a homemaker, taking care of my newborn. Before this, I had six years of experience as a product manager in a second-tier company. The entire preparation process took me about 3 months. https://productschool.com/blog/interview-tips has some pretty good articles with resources. Lewis Lin’s question bank was helpful for targeted companies: https://www.lewis-lin.com/blog/2022/1/24/lewis-lin-question-bank. For each question, I was trying to come up with answers based on my previous experience. I also spent a good amount of time watching PM interview sessions on YouTube. The most beneficial part of my preparation was mock interviews. I found some peer interviews in Lewis Lin's Slack channel, but the quality was inconsistent. After a peer interview, I was not sure if the feedback given by my peer was comprehensive or correct. Later, I did a few paid interviews at meetapro.com, which were very helpful. The feedback was spot-on and helped me identify my areas of improvement. Overall, the macro environment has been really tough. I applied 20+ companies and only got 4 interviews. Most of them were referrals and application. Hopefully this helps to others on a similar journey.
Well done, though I gotta say a 4/20 application to interview rate is pretty darned good.
Thanks!
Damn, was your prior work experience quite good? Congrats on you new job. Your success rate is very high.
Thanks! I think good preparation is the key.
Good advertisement for meetpro
Yes, I don’t mind advertising for them since the mock interviews helped me a lot.

Don’t be so salty about someone’s success Stryker. @OP congrats, I too work at Google and hope you join us (using my old Microsoft account on blind)
Sorry if you think of it that way. Just want to give moms with similar background some encouragement.
