Eh just do the 2 years in consulting. Esp during this tech recession, you’ll end up ahead comp wise. And things aren’t cushier in tech rn. And many opportunities can open for you after. Fb felt like the prize at the end of the rainbow after being tortured by consulting, but i got the job in 2018 when things were basically amazing and I felt like a pampered unicorn after. That just isn’t true anymore.

We will have you write 6 pager 2 pager 1 pagers wbr mbr and other reports where others will focus on your english writing ability, format of the doc. We dont do strategy here. Pmts are glorified data entry operators. Pick your choice

If you are young with nothing holding you down and are ok with 70-90 hour workweeks then you do you. Just be sure that if you go consulting that you land some meaningful projects that will aid you in your career. You need to establish what your goals are and allow that to dictate the projects you land on. Consulting is great for future growth but you’ll lose your young adulthood which in it itself was enough for me to say no to consulting all together even if from an M7.
