The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Looking at the SNAP stock.. I am sad that I lost some money on this. But I was thinking about the SNAP employees.. and it makes me sick that employees rsu / tc is going to be impacted so much this year. I know same thing is happening with me at Amazon, my tc is now 50% from what I has last year. But the biggest question I have is.. so now Evan Spiegel is no longer a billionaire? He has like 50m shares.. and at the current price his me is less then $1b.
Billionaire or not, he is still much better off than rest of snap employees
That poor thing. Should we start a go fund me? Make Evan a billionaire again!
😂 can fund me instead. I’m very poor compared to him.
Yeah so would take too long to make you a billionaire
you're worried about billionaires? lol 😂. they have plenty don't sweat it, this year they will have to switch from 1632 Dom Perignon vintage to 1787 classic.. oh the horrors!
The despicable 1787 classic!
I heard snap gives out more RSUs if you are under water from your initial grant, would be great to have someone from snap confirm
They did. 1 time event. Granted already with a price around $34 bucks. Those are now +50% off now.
+50% up ? how so?
As an employee I feel the pain of all my fellow tech workers. Especially people who are hit so hard.. that’s why this post. I know lot of stuff was over inflated.. so it had to come down. I mean if u look at SNAP, $4b in revenues, net loss of few hundred million every quarter.. but still the market cap is like $40 billion.. I don’t understand why!!
The market used to love growth stocks and don't care about profitability, Now all of a sunden they hate companies not making a dime
They are also hating on Goog that makes boatloads. The tide is sinks all ships
once you have more than 10 M$, money simply doesnt matter! It's just parked somewhere. even if stock market crashes 90%, he is set for life!
Mate, there’s a big difference in the Bay Area between $10M and $50M, I’ll tell you that
We're talking about the SNAP CEO, right? The oh-no-he's-not-a-billionaire guy? Fairly sure he's well above either 10m or 50m. ... Or 500m. He'll be fine. We might not be
You had 1 yoe snap employees pulling in 600K TC prior to this. Shits gotta normalize.
either troll or woke. either way 🤦🏻♂️
Woke
I’m sure he’s still eating and being housed well.
He has a 30M mansion in Paris, two 40M mansions in LA and probably some more elsewhere.
They'll survive, snap SWEs will need to cut back 4x international vacations a year to 2x, but they will survive
Why will Snap survive? They have no competitive advantage and are bleeding users. I used to have 40+ friends posting stories a day, and now it's MAYBE 1-2 and 200+ insta stories. I just can't understand why anyone would have chosen to go to snap when it's a clearly dying company.
Snap SWEs will survive idk about the company
