How bad is having a degree from a hated school?

I graduated from a school that is hated on Blind, r/ApplyingToCollege, and Quora. The only place that doesn’t hate it is College Confidential. How badly does this reflect on my resume? Edit: stop trying to guess it, @Niantic was the first one to guess it in this thread

What school is it?

Take a guess. I’ll give you a clue: I chose it due to proximity to high-paying jobs/internships, academic rigor, no grade inflation, merit aid, and pure merit admissions.

Long-winded way of saying Berkeley

No one cares. You are already at Google.

Unless OP is a DEI hire.

I chose this school specifically because they don’t do affirmative action

Niantic Gzvr3q Feb 18

Unless it’s a literal diploma mill that gives HR pause nobody cares.

Nobody cares

Doesn’t matter as long as you’re at a good company.

I guarantee nobody you work with has ever devoted 1 thought to your education.

Oh just saw that you mentioned CC. So you’re one of THOSE people. Stop stressing, you’ll be fine. Unless this is one of those humble brag posts

I went to a school that nobody has ever heard of and nobody cares… as long as you get a good company or two on your resume it doesn’t matter.
