$110-125 Base, 13% annual performance based bonus, possible $5k sign on. Probably coming in at level 7a.
Senior Engineer’s base salary midpoint for Level 7B is $106K with 13% yearly bonus. I am not sure about the mid base salary for 7A, but it’s 13% bonus as well.

Thank you everyone. And how do promotions work ? Like every 6 months or 1x a year if you have a good performance you can get a x% salary raise and possibly also position raise. How does it work for a software engineer at GM ?
Forget about promotions in level 7. A camel can get through an eye of a neddle easily than getting to a level 8 from level 7 at GM. Unless you know ppl in Senior mgmt that can fight for you or you do plenty of office politics. If you are coming to GM for career growth I will recommend you stay out esp. if you can’t do any of the above I stated. But if you are coming for the great experience, good pay and work life balance, then by all means jump in.
Salary raise will be 3-6%

You can come as 7B or 7A.Both are senior engineer. TC cab be between 120k to 150k including bonus

7b or 7a is what you can hope to get. Level 8 and beyond is if you come in as a Senior Architect , and the well known perk of lvl 8 is you get a company car and 18% bonus. I don't believe they have any track for leveling up to 8 as an engineer. Either architect or management only.
Expect around 110 to 140 depending on your exp.
